The 7th grade has just finished a group project on different Southeast Asia countries Indiana standard IN_7.1.16 and will now start working on the modern Russia and the breakup of the Soviet Union. The 8th grade class has been working on principles of the United States constitution Indiana standard IN_8.1.11 and will be working this month Indiana standard 8.1.4 Students will be able to identify and explain major causes of colonial resentment toward Great Britain, including taxation, limited self-government, and economic control, and connect these ideas to modern cultural and economic examples. I look forward to a great month of learning and deep engaging conversations about their new topics.
Mr. Cooper
Hello,
We have had a busy month from our scholars doing a lot of projects and assignments. Our 6th graders completed geography of South America with a project. Now the 6th graders are learning about the Articles of Confederation and the Constitution. The 7th grade class wrapped up learning about Greece, democracy, and infrastructure. Now the 7th graders are learning about Russia and its culture and tradition. The 8th grade class have been working on immigration and how it affects families. Now the 8th graders are learning about populism and how it can affect elections. We are making a lot of progress in the classroom on all levels.
Hello,
This is Mr. Cooper our classes has gotten off to a good start to the new year. We have implemented rules that were agreed upon by myself and the scholars. The environment that has been created in the classes will increase the learning of my students. It's been a great pleasure to get to know the incoming sixth graders learning about their families and culture. We will be doing a lot of investigating on different topics across all classes during the school year.
