4th Grade ELA 

The fourth graders have been reading stories about real events, such as the Battle of the Alamo and the 60s Beatlemania. We also have been working on our writing, creating an opinion piece on whether they would rather stay and fight at the Alamo or go home to safety. I was quite impressed with the improvements I have seen in their ability to write and use proper grammar since the beginning of the year.

March 2nd - March 13th we will be completing IREAD as needed.

4th Grade ELA 

In Reading, scholars have been learning about our senses. We have read stories about how our eyes work, a boy who is blind, and siblings playing a game of silence.

In Writing, we have been learning about sentence structure, verbs, and fixing run-on sentences. We also have written 2 stories about superheroes, practicing what we have learned in our other classes.
