Social Studies: Use Latitude and Longitude for Exact Location

Scholars will make comparisons about the lines of latitude and longitude, analyze maps, and draw conclusions about how latitude and longitude help locate a specific place on Earth.

Science:  Animal and Plant Structures

Scholars will construct an argument that plants and animals have internal and external structures that function to support survival, growth, behavior, and reproduction.

Social Studies: Reading Globes and the Earth's Hemispheres.

Scholars will learn about the Earth's largest landforms, as well as learn the names of the seven continents. Scholars will learn the difference between the equator and the prime meridian and why March is a transitional month.

Scholars will learn and describe the positive and negative impacts of technology on one’s personal life, society, and our culture.

                                    The History of Ramadan - Scholars will understand the historical origins of Ramadan and explain why it is an important month for Muslims around the world.

Scholars will continue to investigate the role that animal senses, primarily vision, play in survival as they try to understand a realistic fictional problem with a real organism. Students view videos of animals using their senses, reflect on their learning through writing.
